I take the best Selfies in the Mirror Flexing

I’ve been interested in physique and, consequently, strength training since about 9 when I first noticed girls. It started small with pull-ups and body weight exercises and eventually turned into something more in high school when my big brother became obsessed himself and handed me Arnold’s Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding (he always had pretty girlfriends, so I was sold.)

I spent a lot of time spinning my wheels through the years without a clue, never making the real progress I wanted. Eventually as I grew and furthered my career in nuclear power I figured out two things: The first was that you can self-teach yourself anything with the internet if you care to learn. And the second is that everything, even bodybuilding, is far easier if you take time to understand how to do things the right way. Unfortunately, bodybuilding isn’t all hard work and grunting.

Everything I write is about something I’ve struggled with, researched, wasted loads of time and hard-earned money for crap results, and eventually made the effort to figure out the why’s and how’s of doing things the right way as a bodybuilding enthusiast without Olympian genetics.

About Russell

My name is Russell and I am a huge Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers fan! Through sports and fitness, I have found what is most meaningful to me; creating a strong body and mind through exercise and nutrition.

Those of you that share in my passion of exercise and nutrition know that a big part of the game is becoming lean and building muscle. Most folks, including myself, use pre-workouts, protein powders, and more during their fitness journey as to maximize results!

My goal as an educator and fitness enthusiast, is to help you reach your fitness goals through the advice and knowledge within my posts.

This is why you are here! You are willing to learn and educate yourself to the best of your ability as to create the best version of yourself.

I would love nothing more than to help you reach your goals.

Why My Shaker Cup?

One of the easiest ways to receive enough protein in your diet, is to use protein shakes. This is why we are called My Shaker Cup.

In order to mix your protein shakes, pre workout, amino acids, etc. You need a shaker cup!

The name seems very fitting as I am here to educate you on how to reach your exercise and nutritional goals.

Personally, I use three different bottles as to separate the products I use in each (this is not required)

  • Pre-workout- The Flash superhero bottle
  • Amino Acids- Chicago Cubs bottle
  • Protein Powder- Batman superhero bottle

Is this required? Absolutely not.

Do I recommend it? Yes!

Shaker cups can often start to smell like the powders or liquids you put in them. That’s why I not only recommend having specific shaker cups or bottles per what you drink from it, but I recommend it because it’s fun!

What do I mean by this?

There are so many brands, designs, colors, and types of shaker cups out there. Get unique and have fun with the ones you choose to use!

My question for you is this…

Are you ready to make a positive change in your life?

Do you need exercise, nutrition, and product tips?

Let My Shaker Cup change your life.

If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out.
